From 1992 -1994 it was on ITV during the day on Saturday's before Baywatch and the rest of the evening stuff, you might remember that? I think it showed on channel 5 in late 1999 or early 2000 at earliest when it was going downhill.

I probably did watch it on ITV then. I certainly watched Baywatch, Knightrider, Gladiators, etc.

Reading up about it on Channel 5, apparently they added old-school Batman-style "pow", "thwack", etc. to it

I used to love watching WCW back in the eagerly '90s, if j remember correctly it was something like music, games and videos on followed by WCW and Baywatch. It had Sting when he had blonde hair and I remember Ron Simmons winning the title off Vadar after Sting got injured.

Surprised I don't remember that Steve being around the same age as me.

John Cena is probably having some of the best TV matches of his career this year. Even Cena haters must be enjoying his work with people like Cesaro and Owens.

Cena is a once in a generation talent and people need to start realising that. He has Match of the Year candidates literally every year and consistently performs at such a high level. The company will be very much worse off when he hangs up his boots.

He's a huge star. No doubt how talented he is. But there was a long period where the character was stale and the matches boring. Right now though, he has upped his in ring game and is being helped by facing fresh opponents.

I still think the character is stale but I can handle it in this capacity, further down the card and facing the newer faces.

WWE has a lot of good stuff through the card right now but Sheamus Vs Randy Orton is an abomination that has no place on any wrestling card.

I love an impromptu Taker appearance as much as the next mark but does it make sense? Mania Revenge? Kane Injury? Is Taker heel? I'm not sure if I am into it yet.

Battleground was solid but Cena Owens wasn't as hot as the others IMO but I'm not sure if that is a common held opinion.

Wyatt match suffered from the crowd reactions. That guy just isn't a heel is he? He's too over and as soon as he upped the creepy factor with the child stuff he was reigned back in.

The rest of the card was watchable. I miss Ryback.

Looking forward to Raw and Summerslam run now though.

Taker's definitely not going to be the heel. The rate at which he turns up he's only ever going to be a face now. it'll most likely be a tweener feud. Yeah not sure of the motivation but I don't think many of us will care, I do hope for one last match with the BoD though.

CenaOwens III was the worst of the three and I hated the ending.

He can be a heel but, as you say, the dude is hamstrung by creative most of the time. I also don't think the reactions helped by having the smarkiest fucking crowd hating on Roman for the whole match. Hopefully having Harper back and a tag vs Reigns/Ambrose happens. That could be fun.

I agree Taker cant be heel but that was a heel way to return right? It doesn't make much sense yet which is why I will reserve judgement.

Yeah that ending was crap but Owens does look strong despite the tap out. The only thing that suffered for me is the AA which hasn't ended a match on its own for a long time.

The tag will be fun if it does happen. Harper having something to do is dope because he's amazing. I consistently change my mind about whether turning Roman now will save him long term or whether they just plow through the smarks.

Not sure where that whole ending leaves Rollins and the title, but screw it, maybe Taker coming back now will all make more sense after tonight's Raw show. I'm not fussed, I'd prefer to see Brock vs Taker again then anything else on offer.

“When we won the league at Tottenham, they came back 2-2 in the last-minute of the game, and they’re celebrating – because they’re happy to draw against us, obviously. And I remember saying to Mauricio Tarricco, do you realise we only need a point to be Champions? And they all (were really shocked). So I said ‘Yes. Now we’re going to celebrate on your pitch. Bye bye!'”

Thierry Henry on winning the league at White Hart Lane!!!

The brawl on Raw last night was decent, not overly interested in seeing the rematch but last night certainly helped. It doesn't look as if SummerSlam is gonna set the world on fire but then again they always seem to pull it out of the bag. We'll see.

I know I just realised how incomprehensible it sounded. I get enough blank looks from the boyfriend let alone here. The promo and brawl were cool but the fight went on way too long. Like 15 on each man would let them continually slip out of grasp.

As gutted as I was that Tyson got injured it seems to have been the catalyst for the rise of Cesaro as a singles star and may I say it's LONG overdue. The dude is mad good.

Oh and I think I'm in love with Becky Lynch. She is quite literally amazing.

I still really don't think Cesaro has what it takes to be a top star. He's great but he doesn't translate well to a WWE audience.

I like Lynch but if she goes over at the expense of Sasha and Charlotte I'll be ragingm

Agree with Croc on both points to be honest.

Cesaro has shined more than most when it comes to wrestling because he is a top draw wrestler but as a "Superstar" I think he would struggle to really engage. Something that to a lesser extent effects Dolph as well IMO. Plus, both of them are too good at losing matches.
