I still cannot believe you picked Gary Stevens in your best Everton XI but didn't have Trevor Steven in it. They were both decent players but together they were great players.

Oh and I forgot about Paul Rideout lol. As a striker his best performance was in an old firm cup semi final which we won 1-0 despite being down to ten men after 15 minutes and he played 75 minutes as a centre back.

Went for three in midfield and had to pick the Holy Trinity. He's got a nice place on the bench.

Paul Rideout isn't forgotten here. Won us the cup in 95.

Andy Gray. Decent old fashioned striker who had a decent career south of the border. Signed for Rangers when he was well past it. Instantly forgettable but as a Rangers fan he got to live the dream

The amount of players sold between our clubs is unbelievable.... Did you not sign Alec Clelland from Rangers? Forgettable for both clubs

Off topic, but with all the Rangers - Everton connection for forgettable players, it made me wonder who was the best player to go fron Everton to rangers and vise versa.

Stephane Guivarch, Jason Drysdale, Des Hamilton, Andreas Andersson, Silvio Maric, George Georgiadis, Wayne Quinn, Daniel Cordone, Paul Dalglish, Garry Brady, Jamie McClen, Christian Bassedas, David Terrier, Fumaca.

All instantly forgettable, but equally unforgettable.

It's a quandary I tell thee.

Best players would be Gary Stevens, Trevor Steven and the much under rated Stuart McCall. Honourable mention to Davie Weir who joined as a stop gap short term signing and became club captain and inspirational leader on the park

We sold the Drunken Duncan who they seemed to like. I never rated him that highly as a player but he was a character.

We had World Cup Winner Guivarch. If I remember correctly he came on as a sub to make his debut and scored a double and had one chopped off to deny him a hat trick on his debut. That is it...I can't think of anything else he did in his entire Rangers career

I think you Rangers signed him from us about 3 months after he joined us from Auxerre. He was absolutely atrocious, he only managed the single goal for us against Liverpool and he didn't know much about it.

Two loanees also spring to mind (obviously meaning they're not forgettable).. Filipe Oliviera and Frank Songo'o from Chelsea and Pompey, respectively.

Both are still probably playing somewhere, the only thing I remember about either of them is that Oliviera was in the Evening Post to say the fans were chanting his name wrong. Don't remember anything they did on the pitch.
