That's outrageous. Can't believe they deliberately programmed the game to make you win like that! ;)

To be honest at times during that game I felt like there was no way I couldn't win. They battered us for a pretty lengthy period of that game but our keeper was class.

I can't even be arsed. Just absolutely battered Utrecht to be met by a keeper who played like he was Kahn, Neuer, Casillas and Buffon all playing at the same time whilst mine belts the ball at their forward meaning we lose the game.

No middle ground with us this season.

Signed this kid on a free, i made him my top earner to try and keep him from other clubs grips.

ZmnV0Zi.png

I won't be able to keep him long before some fucker comes in with an offer and my arsehole chairman sells him from under my nose.

5 years on and i still have Ryan Simons, it seems hes a loyal player. Had numerous bids come in for him for some big clubs but he seems happy to stay despite me criminally under using him in the league.

There's 22 games in the Icelandic league, he's never played more than 9 games in a season.

Why's he playing so little when doing so well?

A mixture of giving other players a go and having him sit out of games before Champions League games. He seems a big game player, usually gets a decent amount of goals in the Champions League so i don't want him getting injured before the group stage games.

Fair enough. I suppose if you're walking the league anyway it makes sense.

Ive managed to get Grotta into the knockout rounds of the Champions League 4 seasons on the trot which has moved the club into Pot 2 for the Champions League draw each year, come a long way from having to enter the CL in the 1st Qualifying Round.

Im struggling to get past my opponents in the knockout rounds though, i put it down to Iceland's domestic league timing. By the time the knockout rounds start my team haven't played any proper game for about 2 months. I play friendlies and one of the domestic cups against the rubbing rags in the build up but the players still aren't on top form.

Also got Grotta up to 27th in the richest club list, above the likes of Leverkusen, Lyon and Villa. Only got there through CL money and my wheeling and dealing. Since starting the game i've spent £6M on players and sold £99M's worth.

Is it rubbing off on the league/other teams? Any sign of improvement there?

A little but not as much as i hoped, usually when you take a shit club and make them a success the league they're in goes up the competition ranks which means more money, normally its a massive improvement like going from 30K to £4M which was what it was like in the San Marino league, so 2nd place teams where getting about £3.2M, massive money for shit clubs, i've got the Icelandic Prem into the top 25 but still only win 45K at the end of the season, the Icelandic Cup is in 13th place, higher than the Pokal Cup in Germany but the money for winning that is pittance too.

Some clubs have improved like FH but they're not that good.

Finally back into FM. Going back to South America though, that's what I know best.

Started with Liga de Loja. Going to try and replicate my Temuco save.

Wilberto Cosme is shite. Up there with German Alemanno, Cris Martinez and Maxi Giusti as one of the worst forwards I've ever seen.

So you drafted him ironically. It's a bold strategy, Cotton.

Shhh, I need to surprise people. Between me and you, I need people to leave him unmarked to score easy tap ins.

(although he'll probably still miss them)
